In order to promote a program and earn commission on sales, you will need to use a Webgains Tracking Link for that program. This ensures that we can track the click and sale activity, and you can be awarded correctly.
Tracking links can be created for programs using specific Ads that a program has on offer, which can be found within the Ads Manager in your publisher account.
However, if you are just looking to create a standard tracking link for a program, you can do so with our Deep Link Creator tool.
Deep Link Creator
Here, you simply need to select the program you wish to create a tracking link for (note, you must be joined to the program), and then the Program ID will pre-populate into the Deep Link generated, along with your unique Site ID so Webgains can track the activity back to your Site account.

If you want to create an HTML text link, enter your text in the ‘Text’ field. If you are looking to generate a URL only, you can leave this field blank and tick ‘Display URL only’.

‘Destination URL’ is optional, but if you'd like to link to a specific landing page other than the program’s landing page, enter the URL here. For example, if there is a specific product on the advertiser’s site you are promoting. Otherwise, your ad will link through to the program's default landing page (this is typically the advertiser’s site homepage).

‘Click Reference’ is optional, but it allows you to attach your own identifier to a link. This will then be available in your reports, allowing you to see which links your users have clicked on.
Your Deep Link will then display in the field underneath these settings, and you can Copy Link and use in your promotions as necessary. You also have the option to generate a Short Link, if preferred.
