Do I need to set up MFA on my account?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is mandatory for all Administrator level publisher users on Webgains, as it provides a second layer of security by asking you to enter a code from your smartphone every time you log in, so we know it’s you every time.
The MFA can be set up on one device/authenticator app per User account. It’s recommended to use an authentication app to generate the one-time passcode (OTP) such as: Gogle Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator (Android or iOS), or Twilo Authy Authenticator.
The app or tool will prompt you to scan the QR code shown in your Webgains login page, and then once scanned it will generate unique OTPs for you to use in the Webgains login. Each code is only valid for a short period of time, so be sure to enter it promptly into Webgains once generated from the app.
It is not required for lower permission levels, such as Editor role. For more information on the MFA process please contact publisherteam@webgains.com
