What is a De-duplication Policy?

Deduplication is when an advertiser sets up a ‘rule’ to ensure that a conversion is only attributed to one marketing channel, even though multiple touchpoints may have been involved.

Before implementing any deduping solution, the advertiser should discuss with their Webgains Account Manager about the need for deduplication and any potential impacts on the program.

Advertisers must disclose their deduplication policy to Webgains before launching a program, and it’s best practice to include the policy within program T&Cs/descriptions so that publishers are informed.
Likewise, if any changes to the deduplication policy are made at any stage, Webgains must be informed and any program T&Cs must be updated.
