How do I know a publisher is right for my program?

We generally recommend processing your program’s Pending publisher applications on a weekly basis.

To help identify what to check when processing the applications, we have highlighted a few things to consider before you approve a publisher:

  1. Traffic

    • Checking the website’s Monthly Visits is the best metric for you to see the increase or decrease in visitors to the publisher’s site typically either month-over-month or year-over-year.

  2. Category/Niche

    • The website’s niche/category is another important metric to check, especially if your KPI/program purpose is to target new customers. Make sure that the publisher’s website reflects the categories you are working on.

  3. Publisher Type

  4. Content

    • Another important point to look at is the content of the website. We have identified a few points to look for when checking the content/blog post on the publisher website:

      • The content is updated frequently (check the last updated/posted content).

      • The content created and posted on the website needs to be quality content, without cases of replication on the other sub-pages.

      • Does the website adhere to formatting rules?

  5. Hyperlinks Leading to the Correct URLs

    • Are the hyperlinks leading to the correct URLs? More specifically, hyperlinks leading to social media pages or hyperlinks leading to contact information need to take the users to correct/valid links.

  6. Check the Social Media

    • Checking the Social Media pages is an important indicator of the website’s validity.

  7. Applicable to Voucher Sites

    • When reviewing the voucher websites, please take a closer look at whether the images on the website are clear and the advertised voucher codes are being repeated on the homepage of the publisher’s website.
