Program and Portfolio Health Explained

Within the new Agency dashboards, a health label is provided as indicator of the overall health of programs in the current portfolio.

Program Health Statuses

For very new programs that have been open for less than 90 days, we don’t have enough information to properly measure their performance, so they will automatically be set to a NEW status.

Every program over 90 days old will have a health status that is continuously updated. An overview of the different statuses can be found below:

Status

Explanation

New

Program is less than 90 days old.

Great

Program has no issues that affect its performance.

Good

Program has minor issues that stop it from being a top performer.

Fair

Program has a number of issues that need to be addressed.

Poor

Program is a low performer – take action immediately.

Bad

Program is receiving very few transactions and may have a tracking issue.

The aim of the health status is to help you prioritise your efforts when managing multiple programs.

By improving the health of your programs, you’ll help to improve their overall revenue generation performance.

What factors influence the health status?

Days since last transaction - This is the biggest indicator of program health. If a program hasn’t received a transaction in more than a day it will be given a Bad status.

New Publishers added in the last 30 days - If the program has not added any new publishers in the last 30.

Channel Mix - You should aim to have more than 6 different channel types within your program. A diverse channel mix will target a broader audience and boost performance.

Publisher count - More than 9 publishers who contributed transactions in the last 30 days.

Transaction enquiries - Outstanding/unprocessed transaction enquiries will reduce your health score. You should aim to process pending transaction enquiries as soon as possible.

YoY and MoM sales - A healthy program should show sales revenue growth year on year and month on month.

Cancellation rate - If a program’s cancellation rate has been greater than 30% of the last 6 months, this will impact on your health score.

Active codes and offers - Programs should aim to have at least 1 voucher code or special offer at any time.

Tenancy override - A perfect program should show an increase in override from tenancies over the previous month.
