What is a Recall Period?

A Recall Period is the amount of time between when a transaction is created on Webgains (when a sale is tracked), to when it will become “Confirmed” (or, “Approved”) and ready for invoicing.

After a Recall Period expires, it can no longer be cancelled or adjusted.

Transactions can always be Confirmed/Approved quicker than the Recall Period via our platform or API.

Recall Periods are 30 days by default (although this can be higher if discussed and agreed with Webgains), which aligns with a standard returns-window that many businesses operate by, and so allowing sufficient time for a customer to return their order and the Webgains transaction to be adjusted accordingly.

A shorter Recall Period (or the quicker Approval of transactions) will be more attractive to publishers who are joining a program, as it means commission payout will be quicker.
